Going Coastal: Incorporating the Photography of Gray Malin into Luxury Home Design

One of my favorite photographers is Gray Malin, known for his photo collections of remote locations, and his aerial photographs of various destinations. In this blog post, I am excited to share how I’ve incorporated his captivating photography into a South Florida luxury coastal design.

This interior design project was for a vacation home in Pompano Beach, meant for rest and relaxation in style.

The focal point of this breakfast nook is a Gray Malin photo. Through his lens, each photograph tells a story of sun-kissed shores and endless horizons. His coastal images take you on a visual journey to breathtaking the places where the sea meets the sky. My goal was for my clients to be immersed in the tranquility of these vistas.

Here, as part of this Pompano Beach design vacation home, we incorporated the versatile and stylish addition of bunk beds. Whether you're looking to maximize space, foster creativity, or accommodate guests, these multi-functional marvels are the perfect solution for any home. And this coastal Jeep image from Gray Malin was the perfect selection for this cozy space.

Using Malin’s coffee table book, BEACHES was an easy yet eye-catching way to decorate in the living area. I look forward to weaving in his newest title, COASTAL into future projects. One of the reasons its ideal to work with an interior designer is that we spend time and thought to carefully curate the very best pieces to make your living space come to life. The art here was the inspiration for this design and from there, I pulled other items to complement it and bring the cohesive look together. For example, the luxurious pillow in this breakfast nook was selected specifically to complement the green shades in the photo.
