Interior Design Using Pantone’s 2023 Color of the Year: Viva Magenta

Pantone’s Color of the Year is Viva Magenta 18-1750. This uplifting color complements a variety of hues and can make a living space come alive with warmth. It is a shade rooted in nature descending from the red family and expressive of a new signal of strength.  As a South Florida interior designer, I always like to stay aware of the current popular colors and explore ways to incorporate them into my foundational, serene aesthetic style.

To me, Viva Magenta is a great accent color for wall art and accessories like throws and pillows. While this intense shade undoubtedly grabs attention, it’s also inspiring and evokes a sense of energy in your home. Incidentally, vibrant colors like Viva Magenta work well in South Florida luxury homes, where bright colors inside can nicely complement the hues seen outside -- in our beautiful, coastal surroundings.
